Mango Iced Tea

INGREDIENTS

  • Ripe mango – 1, medium size, peel, puree the pulp and chill
  • Tea leaves – 2 tsps
  • Water – 1 lt or 4 cups
  • Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
  • Sugar – 4-5 tbsps, adjust
  • Mint leaves – for garnish
  • Ripe mango cubes for garnish – few (optional)
  • Ice Cubes – 10-12

METHOD

  1. Bring water to a boil, reduce flame and add the tea leaves. Allow to simmer for a mt. Turn off flame, add sugar and allow to dissolve. Let the brewed black tea come to room temperature.
  2. Strain the black tea into a large pitcher or jug. Add lemon juice and chilled mango puree and mix well. Add mint leaves and allow the flavors to meld.
  3. Pour the mango tea into glasses, add ice cubes. Garnish with ripe mango cubes and serve immediately.

Tips:
You can adjust the quantity of mango puree according to taste.
Sugar can be adjusted according the the sweetness of the mango.
