Almondigas and Miswa Soup

INGREDIENTS

Meat Balls

  • 1/2 kilo Ground Pork or beef
  • 1 cup Cooked Rice
  • 1 pc medium Onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup    All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 pc Eggs, lightly beaten
  • 3/4 tsp    Black Pepper
  • 2 tsp Iodized Fine Salt

Soup

    • 6 cloves Garlic, crushed
    • 1 medium sized patola, sliced
    • 1 pc medium Onion, sliced
    • 8 cups Water
    • 1 pc Chicken Bouillon Cube
    • 1/4 kg Carrots
    • 150 grams Misua Noodles
    • 2 stalks Green Onion, sliced
    • 1 pouch (200 grams) Tomato Sauce
    • 3 tablespoons fish sauce

INSTRUCTIONS

Meatballs

  1. In large bowl combine ingredients for meatballs.
  2. Mix thoroughly until all the ingredients are well incorporated.
  3. Form every 2 teaspoons of mixture into balls. Set aside.
  4. Sauté garlic, onion and chicken cube.
  5. Add Tomato Sauce and water.
  6. Allow to Boil, then add meatballs, carrots, salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Cover and Simmer for another 20 minutes, or until meat is cooked.
  8. Add the patola and cook for 3 minutes.
  9. Add misua, then Simmer for 3 minutes.

Serve hot! Top with green onions.
