Updated Mitsubishi Mirage Officially launches in Philippines – Hardly a month after MIAS 2016, MMPC has again stirred up the Philippines automarket with the latest launch of the refreshed version of Mitsubishi Mirage 2016. Boasting a refreshed styling, this updated Mirage can be counted as the company’s challenger in its respective segment.

Mitsubishi-Mirage-2016

Mitsubishi Mirage 2016 features distinctive design changes on its exterior which includes a heavily redesigned front fascia adding more aggressiveness to its chic design. With a gloss black diamond-detailing, the new-grille is revised sporting a brand’s insignia and its new bumper and more sculpted hood give this hatch an all-new face. That’s not it, wheels have also undergone a makeover and now a GLX variant features 14-inch dual-tone alloys while the GLS now sits on 15-inch ones. The brand has also made its new hatch an exclusive in its lineup with the new welcome and coming-home lights.

Two more new colors, Wine Red Pearl an  d Sunrise Orange Metallic have also been added to its color palette which complements more to its new design.

Stepping inside, you will be welcomed by a black-themed interior with high-grade fabric seats making the cabin more serene and elegant. The infotainment system has also got an upgradation as the GLX now comes with a 7-inch touchscreen and 6.5-inch LCD touchscreen saved for the GLS.

Underneath it doesn’t get any changes as it is powered by 1.2-litre MIVEC gasoline engine rated at 77 hp/100 Nm and is still mated to either a 5-speed manual or a CVT. However, a roller-type camshaft is new to the engine along with an improvised NVH tuning and sound insulation.

There has been an increase to the price of both the variants , but all is forgiven considering the range of features the new Mirage offers.

Mirage GLX 1.2G CVT -PhP 603,000
